Standards according to demands
APT comply with the guidelines for use of the Norwegian standards NSO-1, JR-1 and SR-1. (At least every 10th sample and always prior to and immediately after each batch of analyses/project).
Furthermore we will meet the preferred standards of our client. If results from a standard at the end of a batch do not fall within a "permissible range", the results for the whole batch will be discarded and the samples will be re-run.
As a result of “The Norwegian Geochemical Standard Sample Project", three reference samples were distributed by NPD to several laboratories worldwide. Results were analysed statistically to obtain most likely values and permissible ranges.
To ensure good and reproducible results over time, these reference samples are run regularly and at least every 10th sample. Results from reference samples will always be quality assured against the permissible ranges given in NIGOGA. Please see is an example of results obtained from analysis of a saturated fraction by GC.
If the results fall outside the permissible range, the instrument is recalibrated and the batch analysed again. In addition, results are plotted in a control chart to monitor long term reproducibility.
